Prepare to have your funny bone tickled: The seventh annual JFL42 Festival is descending upon Toronto from September 20 to 29. And with a line-up that includes the likes of Baron Vaughn, James Acaster and Chris Gethard, Toronto is set to be the funniest city in the world this September! Here are just a couple of the highlights…
Actor, writer, and comedian Chris Gethard is the host and star of Funny or Die’s The Chris Gethard Show on TruTV, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and NBC’s Parks and Recreation and The Office. Chris recently starred in the Mike Birbiglia film, Don’t Think Twice and Comedy Central’s smash TV series, Broad City. Chris’ latest one-man show, Career Suicide premiered on HBO after completing a successful off-Broadway run at The Lynn Redgrave Theatre in NYC. Gethard is the host of the popular Earwolf podcast Beautiful Stories from Anonymous People – which will be recording live from JFL42.
Actor, comedian and writer, Baron Vaughn graduated from Boston University’s theatre program and immediately went on to the Williamstown Theatre Festival. That same year he was cast in Drowning Crow with Alfre Woodard on Broadway and featured in Damn Yankees at the NY City Center with Jane Krakowski and Sean Hayes. A series regular on Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, and Comedy Central’s Corporate, Baron is also the voice of Tom Servo in the Netflix reboot of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. Vaughn has most recently been shooting his comedy stand-up series The New Negroes, which is set to be released on Comedy Central.
If you’re heading to Toronto to have your funny bone tickled this September, the Best Western Toronto Airport Hotel will add convenience and comfort to your getaway. And there will be no concerns about missing your flight home, as the property’s complimentary shuttle ensures that you will be at the airport for your flight in plenty of time.
