Festivals, festivals, festivals. The summer season is full of them. They’re endless and they come one after the other. Rightly so-- how boring would summer be without all these fun things to check out? Sometimes, however, we can get lost in the fun and may forget to reflect. Don’t worry, there’s a festival for that.
Water Lantern Festival
There is something about lights and water separately that can put anyone in a calm and reflective state. Together at the Water Lantern Festival, they are the ultimate duo for placing people into a contemplative state. Experience the magic of water lanterns. Being surrounded by this serenity, one can’t help but feel a sense of fun, happiness, and hope all at once; this festival is sure to create lasting good memories. Tickets for this event range from free to $87.79, depending on age and what activities you want to partake in. On Saturday, August 10th, head on over to the Port Credit Memorial Park (Mississauga) by 6:00 PM to join in on the fun. Don’t worry, it’s not just a bunch of people lighting lanterns and setting them in the water. There is plenty more to do: food trucks, music, and an overall calm vibe.
We Are Lost Festival
This brand new festival celebrates something special. This one- day festival is said to bring together the most sophisticated, respectful, and intellectual music enthusiasts from across the great nation of Canada. Tickets range from $40 - $50 for this We Are Lost Festival. Being surrounded by some of the highest calibre music individuals of the nation, you are sure to have fun (musicians know how to have fun, trust us), relaxation, and even curiosity. We hope that this curiosity will take also place you into a contemplative state. The event takes place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 starting from 3:00 PM and ending around 11:00 PM. The venue is at Evergreen Brick Works. This is a 19+ event and ID is required.
With these two events happening over the course of the weekend, it is important you get some rest that will keep you in that contemplative state. While the time span of these two festivals is no more than 24 hours, our beds at the Best Western Plus Toronto Airport Hotel will make sure you get a comfortable night's rest to keep you energized for this jam-packed weekend.
