Comedy Events in Toronto This April
- March 16, 2020

From side-splitting local acts to internationally renowned stars, comedians are hitting the stage and bringing the laughs to Toronto this April. Here’s a glimpse of what’s on.
John Mulaney
An Emmy Award-winning writer for Saturday Night Live and a headlining stand up comic in his own right, John Mulaney is bringing his sharp and hilarious act to Toronto on April 10 at the Sony Centre for Performing Arts. His most recent Netflix special, the Sack Lunch Bunch, is a children’s musical comedy that parodies Sesame Street and Mister Rogers’ Neighbourhood.
Russell Brand
British comedian Russell Brand brings his Recovery Tour to Toronto on April 9 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. In the show, Brand — also an actor, author, and a passionate activist for mental health and drug rehabilitation — navigates the audience through a funny, poignant, and sometimes profane exploration of personal development and wellness.
T.G.I. Funny
Some of Canada’s funniest stand-up comedians will be joining forces for an evening of laughs at the Ossington on April 3. The lineup includes Martha O'Neill (founder of SheDot, Toronto’s all-women comedy festival), Lianne Mauladin (made Whoopi Goldberg laugh out loud, which the actress described as a rare feat), and Ted Morris (both a comic AND a small animal vet).
Before heading out for the evening, stop in for a meal at the Postcard Hotel Restaurant and Bar for casual fine dining conveniently located onsite here at the Best Western Plus Toronto Airport Hotel. Our Toronto hotel also features additional exceptional amenities including an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and 24-hour fitness centre, as well as a wide variety of comfortable, stylish, and spacious hotel rooms and suites that are also affordable.
