Food trucks became popular really early during this decade, and now they seem to be a staple in the street food culture of major cities. Toronto is no exception to this trend. And part of this culture is a major surge in the art of brewing craft beer. In fact, both have gotten so popular that now Toronto has festivals for both!
Toronto’s Festival of Beer
Three days long, a festival dedicated solely to beer and Canada’s rich brewing history. Toronto’s Festival of Beer features over 300 brands - this is such a feat especially since the event is in its very first year. And with beer comes (clearly) the need to have food as well. These food vendors are well-known and are sure to satisfy and of your food cravings. Depending on how deeply you want to get involved in this, tickets range from $40 to $150. ID is required, and it’s a 19+ event. No Pets. No Children -- No Exceptions! Event is from July 26 to July 28, 2019.
Toronto Food Truck Festival
Less than a week after the beer fest, make sure you make your way over to Woodbine Park on Queen Street East. Admission is free and this one is friendly to everyone in the family. And while all the food is fun, there’s more fun to be had: (more) cold beer, live music, and where there’s food there are certainly eating challenges. The Toronto Food Truck Festival is happy to bring out over 50 food trucks at one time, meaning there is something for everyone.
