When you are at the Pearson International Airport and you choose venture off into the core of the city, it can be difficult to navigate the busy-ness that is Toronto. Vibrant nightlife, seasonal happenings, and just the overall hustle bustle can get your turned any which way, leaving you sitting in your hotel room having decided to do nothing for the night. Don’t worry; these are your must-dos for your time in Toronto this November!

Wintery Blues? Solution: Happy Place Toronto

From November 1 2018 to January 1 2019 Toronto extends its arms out to the world with is own Happy Place held at the Harbourfront Centre. Closed on Tuesdays, but opening daily (either 10AM or 11AM) and closing 8PM, it’s the perfect place to take a break from the cold and jump into a pit of confetti! Even if you are not a fan of confetti, you are bound to find a room that suits your needs.  Pick your own time slot on your designated day and drop a bit of cash ($32.50), and you’re well on your way to your own happy place.

A Different Happy: The Rocky Horror Show (Live)

Bright and vibrant not quite your happy place? How about a live rendition of this comedy horror, cult classic?! The Lower Ossington Theatre hosts (the 7th running of) The Rocky Horror Show. The show runs and has been extended through to December 23, doing at least one show every Thursday - Sunday night!

Instead of Live Theatre: Free Community Film Festival

If something bright and happy nor live dark theatre isn’t for you, then it might sound like you are looking for something that is more socially impactful. Free, The Regent Park Film Festival aims to disrupt stereotypes by telling the stories to show the many walks of life that can come from one place or demographic groups.  The 16th annual iteration of this festival happens on November 14-17 at the Centre for Social Innovation.

The Toronto life can definitely be exhausting with overstimulation.  Luckily, the amenities at the Best Western Plus Toronto Airport Hotel can provide you with a fitness centre, an onsite restaurant, and a pool & hot tub combo.  These are a few of the perfect things to wind down with after a long day in the downtown core.
