Summer is Over, but Toronto Won’t Stop

October is always an extended party for folks in Toronto. The party will not stop as long as the weather permits it! October isn’t necessarily the coldest month, in fact, it’s a small blip for how powerful the weather can be, so the citizens look to soak up as much of the milder weather as possible. Here are some ways they do that!

Toronto Pumpkinfest

From October 12 to October 14, 2019, this free event is something for everyone in the family to do.  Don’t forget- this is Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, so the long weekend means you can definitely unwind and enjoy the full Toronto Pumpkinfest.  Activities include pumpkin carving, food vendors, pumpkin bowling and many other games.  This is something you don’t want to miss out on. Event is at Downsview Park on Carl Hall Road.

172nd Annual Woodbridge Fall Fair

If you’re not so much of a pumpkin enthusiast then you can go to a more general event for a variety of more fun.  The 172nd Annual Woodbridge Fall Fair is happening on the same weekend, October 12 to October 14, and is an event that the entire family can enjoy, as well! Tickets are $14 for adults, $5 for youth, and children under six years of age get free entry.  While pumpkins are still involved you can be certain there will also be a horse show, a dog show, the petting zoo and other fun small challenges and activities.

Toronto Cocktail Week

For those that are looking for something a little more sophisticated (and without children), you can be sure to check out the following week: Toronto Cocktail Week. From October 15 to October 20,  you can take part in a multitude of events that feature restaurants and bars that celebrate or feature specific cocktails.  Prices vary by venue and the opening party tickets range between $80-$90. Get your tickets now!
